2. The Rule of 0.7: The Aesthetics of 'Barely'
Humans do not have 100% freedom (that would be God). Nor do we have 0% freedom (that would be a machine).
Bang-i Sasang defines the truth of life with the number '0.7'.
Fate (G) 70%: Conditions I did not choose. Parents, genes, era, environment. [cite_start]Like gravity, these constrain us by 70%.
Will (H) 30%: The struggle I can exert within those conditions.
We live 'barely' at this 0.7 point. Because it is incomplete, it is intense; because it is not fixed, it is anxious.
But this 'Gap of Imperfection' is the only 'Creative Space' the universe has allowed humans.
3. The Stage and the Actor
Fate (G) is the 'Stage.' Whether you stand on a stage of tragedy or comedy was not your choice.
But 'How you act' on that stage depends on you, the Actor (Will).
A fool complains about the stage and ruins the play. A wise man accepts the given stage (Fate) 100% and performs the best ad-lib (Will) on it to move the audience (Universe). This is the true meaning of the formula F=H×G
4. Surfing: True Freedom
Free will is not about blocking the waves. When a huge wave (Fate) comes, it is about reading the texture of the wave, getting on the board, and 'Flowing with it.'
Having everything go your way is not freedom; that is dictatorship.
True freedom lies in the 'Dynamic Balance (0.7)'—entrusting yourself to the great flow while not losing your way by resonating your will (H) with the will of the universe (G).
Amor Fati (Love your fate). And dance your own dance on the waves of that fate.
